Arielle

Born to the name Tsubaki, Arielle grew up in the mortal plane until she was around 5 years of age. Her father, a tiefling travelling bard, was rarely home, and her human mother struggled to support them–and often took her frustrations out on Arielle herself.

It was a lonely childhood; with her devilish appearance, she was unwelcome in the village, and was kept hidden by her family. Add in the abuses from her mother and, well, it paints a rather depressing picture. Until Elliauna arrived, anyway-

For Arielle was graced with luck! She met a fairy, a dear friend who visited often and ask her questions about her life. After a particularly nasty shouting and chasing from the house by her mother, the fairy offered to take her away to live in a fairy world. There were terms that she didn't understand- but of course, Arielle said yes!

What child doesn't want to live with the fairies!?

A Lonely Start to Life

As part of the 'deal' she made with Elliauna, Arielle underwent a transformation: her black wings transformed into colourful fairy wings; the scales along her skin and horns smoothed out, and a glittery effect grew here instead, whilst the horns themselves changed subtly to resemble the shape of a leaf; and most magical of all, her ugly, golden dragon's eye transformed into a normal eye!

She was taken to the Sunflower Fields to join the rest of her new troupe. An odd assortment of fairies, many of them had features Arielle had not imagined a fairy might have - such as a rabbit's ears, cat's whiskers or large horns, similar to herself. Somehow, this made her new home seem even more magical! Who knew fairies were so pretty and varied!

Introducing herself by her new name, Arielle quickly made friends amongst the fairy troupe. Life was happy and carefree and full of fun. Unbeknownst to Arielle, many years went by; decades, a century. She soon forgot her mortal childhood - and the fact that she wasn't really a fairy...
